      Report: CU Denver/Anschutz boost Colorado economy by $3.3B

      The University of Colorado Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus contributed $3.3 billion to the local economy in fiscal year 2012-13, including $1.9 billion in indirect impacts, according to a report released Tuesday.

      The report, which covered the 12 months that ended in June 2013, showed the economic impact of the two campuses has risen from $2.65 billion in fiscal year 2009-10.

      Cherwell Software, a fast-growing Colorado Springs-based software developer, said Tuesday it has acquired Express Metrix, a small Seattle information technology and software asset management company.

      Neither of the privately held companied released terms of the deal, but Cherwell marketing vice president Jason Haggar said the transaction involved cash and Cherwell stock.
