      Fewer venture capital deals were done in Colorado in the second quarter than in the first, but the deals were larger, according to a report released late Thursday.

      The state recorded 20 venture deals in the second quarter, down from 24 in the first quarter, but the amount invested rose to $150.8 million in the latest quarter, up from $112.8 million in the first quarter, said The MoneyTree Report by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data from Thomson Reuters.
