    Venaxis acquires Boulder biotech

    Venaxis Inc., a Castle Rock medical device company, said it's acquired BiOptix Diagnostics Inc. of Boulder. Venaxis (Nasdaq: APPY) said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it's paying "627,010 shares of Venaxis common stock with an aggregate value of $1,950,000" for BiOptix.
