Colorado Technology Foundation and Galvanize Partner to Launch Women in Tech Scholarship Fund
Last week at our Women in Technology Conference, CTA and its Foundation launched the Women in Tech Scholarship Fund in partnership with Galvanize. The scholarship fund is aimed at getting more women from under-tapped communities a job in tech and a better future.
Galvanize is a 21st-century school for engineers, entrepreneurs and data scientists. On eight campuses across the U.S., the energy, intellect and ambition of Galvanize students, members and alumni are at the heart of a learning community that promotes belonging, and celebrates courage and growth.
Donations will go toward a scholarship fund aimed at women in Colorado interested in taking a Galvanize data science, data engineering or web development course. These women might be an immigrant, such as Lina Suchuk, looking to switch careers or a mom looking to re-enter the workforce. All of these women deserve the opportunity for a better future and our talent industry needs them.
We are aiming to raise $52,500 in the next three months to send five women to Galvanize. Every dollar raised will be matched by Galvanize (up to a $10,500 value per student.) We ask that you or your organization consider donating to the Women in Tech Scholarship Fund. The time for change is now.
Next year at the WIT Conference, it is our goal to have five women on stage whose lives have been transformed by this opportunity. Paying it forward to these women will have a measurable impact on our industry, communities and world.
