1. Amazon is looking for a city where it can stick a second $5 billion HQ. Colorado’s contenders are lining up.

    Amazon.com is scouting North American cities for a second headquarters, where it plans to employ as many as 50,000 workers, the tech giant announced Thursday.

    And many Colorado cities plan to make a bid to be the one in which the Seattle-based company will invest $5 billion to build and operate the new location, which is being called Amazon HQ2.
