    ViaWest sold for $1.2 billion

    Data center and colocation company ViaWest Inc. is being bought for $1.2 billion by Shaw Communications Inc., a Canadian telecommunications company. Shaw (NYSE: SJR) plans to keep ViaWest as a subsidiary operated from Greenwood Village. Nancy Phillips, a co-founder and CEO of ViaWest, and the rest of its current management team will continue to run the 350-employee company here. It will keep the name ViaWest.
