SpaceX awarded first Air Force satellite launch contract

Someone other than Centennial-based United Launch Alliance has a contract to launch a national security satellite for the U.S. Air Force for the first time in 10 years. Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Inc., or SpaceX, won an $82.7 million contract from the Air Force on Wednesday.
