Thornton site submitted for Amazon HQ2 ‘being considered for another office development’
The city of Thornton submitted one site to the Denver Metro Economic Development Corp. as a possible location for Amazon HQ2. “It is currently being considered for another office development,” Todd Barnes, the communications director for the city of Thornton, said. He declined to discuss more details about the development. The Denver metro area was one of 20 semifinalist cities for Amazon's second headquarters. The project aimed to bring the winning metro 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in economic impact.
