Colorado gives online retailers a temporary reprieve from new sales-tax rules

Online retailers who are worried about how to comply with Colorado’s new sales-tax rules got a couple of months more to figure things out Thursday from the Colorado Department of Revenue. State officials extended by two months — from March 31 to May 31 — the deadline for retailers to comply with rules announced in September that require sellers of online goods to remit taxes to the state and to the local jurisdictions in which the purchasers reside.
