Seagate Technology buying Longmont software storage firm for $645M

Seagate Technology said it's buying Dot Hill Systems Corp. of Longmont for $645 million. Seagate, a California Bay Area data storage systems company, said it's paying $9.75 per share for Dot Hill (Nasdaq: HILL), which makes software and hardware storage systems.
