      A program designed to give Connecticut a steady supply of home-grown technology start-ups has selected the latest group of entrepreneurial companies to receive $10,000 awards to advance their businesses.

      Denver-based Galvanize launched gSchool—an immersive program that teaches developing skills to newcomers in six months on three different campuses—last year. With a 98 percent placement rate and a guaranteed starting salary of $60,000, the program’s graduates are already flourishing.

      Colorado Forest Service receives $250K grant to promote wood-to-energy projects across state

      FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State Forest Service has received a $250,000 grant from the USDA Forest Service Wood Education and Resource Center to promote the development of wood-to-energy projects across the state.

      The three-year grant is intended to help foresters and researchers address forest health and wildfire concerns by accelerating the creation of wood-energy facilities and technologies that use woody biomass.
