      Denver software startup Convercent raises $10M

      DENVER — Convercent, a Denver-based startup that produces compliance software for businesses, has raised $10 million. BusinessDen reports that the company filed a Regulation D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Feb. 9, detailing the raise. The $10 million haul takes Convercent’s fundraising to $47 million in a series of offerings.

      Nearly one-third of Denver's newest office tower was leased up in the fourth quarter of 2016, with a new company and an old company leasing more than 200,000 square feet. Cyber-security company Optiv Security Inc., which was recently acquired, will relocate from its current space at 1125 17th St. in February 2018 to take more than 75,000 square feet in three floors in 1144 15th, the office tower being developed in downtown Denver by Houston-based Hines.

      Colorado's Optiv files for an IPO

      Denver-based cybersecurity company Optiv Inc. has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to become a publicly traded company. The filing on Friday puts Optiv in line to be the first major IPO in Denver tech circles since Zayo Group, a Boulder-based business telecom, went public in the fall of 2014. Optiv plans to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange with the ticker symbol “OPTV.”
