      Colorado secures $65M for health care innovation

      Colorado has been given $65 million that will be used over the next four years toward developing a plan to integrate physical and mental health care. The State Innovation Model funding came from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Gov. John Hickenlooper on Tuesday announced the awarding of the grant. The governor said in a statement the money "will support our efforts in another critical factor of well-being, which is the integration of physical and behavioral health.

      Global Healthcare Exchange LLC (GHX), a Colorado-based international hospital supply-chain technology company, says it has a deal to acquire Atlanta-based Vendormate Inc., a provider of vendor relationship-management software. The acquisition will add relationship-management capabilities to GHX's portfolio, the Louisville-based company said in Thursday's announcement. Vendormate will operate as a GHX subsidiary. Terms were not disclosed. GHX said the deal is expected to close within 30 days.
