      The Federal Communications Commission on Friday gave the go ahead for Level 3 Communications Inc.'s $5.3 billion purchase of TW Telecom Inc. The FCC approval comes days before the shareholders of both Denver metro-area telecoms vote on the cash and stock deal. Broomfield-based Level 3 (NYSE: LVLT) and Douglas County-based TW Telecom (Nasdaq: TWTC) announced the cash and stock deal June 16.
