      DigitalGlobe unit gets big government intelligence contract

      DigitalGlobe Inc. said it's received a big contract from the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Westminster-based DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI) said the $55 million contract was awarded to its GeoEye Analytics Inc. unit in Herndon, Virginia. "The contract supports the management and maintenance of all-source geospatial predictive analysis services. These services include gathering, analyzing, and manipulating data for geospatial predictive modeling," the government said in a statement.
